Alas, this is a sorrowful return this week with "Solitude" by Oubliette. This lone track carries a heavy weight, howled from phenominal female vocals, this song echoes of loss and lamentation. Though much of Metal is about fire and fury, there is an equal amount of sadness and the cold grip of reality of the horrors this world can bestow upon us all. Let this week be about rememberance of those who are gone and to reflect on our bittersweet days, of the reluctance we have to be alive though difficult it may be. No audio this week. Silence and solitude will carry us through until next week when we take to "The Passage." Stay strong, my friends. You slowly decay, a desolate form The delirium overcomes your flesh Too weak for the battle against the misery The hour of your death has come Young one, close your eyes The light leads you to elation Rest forever in an endless solitude The clocks have stopped as we all gather Dress you in a pale garment Tie the bell to your icy finger To prepare your body for interment Carry you from where your season began Never saw the ending of spring Now to be buried before you saw the winter You were here, a brief moment on this plane Now all has ended, the fall of your existence Lower you to the depths, beneath the roots of the trees As you are lowered into the ground All my soul can feel is despair Grief has left me blind to the cold world you left behind A destiny unfulfilled Left a gap in the world I'll never get to watch you grow All I feel is sorrow Now all has ended, the fall of your existence Lower you to the depths, beneath the roots of the trees
