I have awaited this week...ALDA's album Passage is nothing less than marvelous, houndingly majestic. A culmination of experience and progress all generating this mountainous creation. I could pick any track on this album for a showcase however Weathering includes something personal to me, a quote from the film Jeremiah Johnson, coupled with the already stellar ambiance this track is wonderful put together. I would ask you to listen to the entire album if this single wonder enchants or entertains you in any way for I am certain you would not be disappointed. As for this week, may you weather it with the same timid grace as that of the old earth. Oh solar fume, may we drift never further and come never closer We, the parched land aching for a drink In the fallow dew we would have followed you but for the rain refusing to fall when we're cast from the shores and left to the drought tossed in the currents of venomous thought Eyes shut, teeth clenched straining against the changes scying and searching the signs of the skies a glyph in the grass, a rune in the wood Facing the storm within finding the courage to breath Souls pour molten in the crucible Where stars flicker and die in the glint of our eyes Strength hard won, memories lost The waried road far from home The long arm of spiral coiling within To weather the storm again To weather the storm within https://www.metal-archives.com/albums/Alda/Passage/512040
