NYSS is back with this weeks showcase album Princesse Terre (Three Studies of Silence and Death). Translating to "Princess Earth" this three track album is wicked dark and explosive. Pepper in some Alan Watts in the intros of the songs and the build ups are riveting and raw. Track II is by far my favorite pick of the three but the trio is one hell of a journey when played in succession. And check out that album cover, dark, ominous, and unnatural...just like my dates! As we revisit Nyss once more with Princesse Terre, I must promote their newest release as well which I have only briefly visited. Dépayser sounds just as promising as the previous works I have visited and I look forward to what grim adventures Nyss has in store. This week though we pay homage to its predecessor, giving us topics of thought that many may avoid or not want to ponder on, silence and death. My recent ride with the reaper was too close for comfort yet the living silence I enjoy now is due to my avoiding a horrid end, a black, all consuming kind of silence. Nyss is giving us some blackened fuel for this week and that means we should listen well. Check out Princesse Terre as well as the newest release to satiate your metal needs! /,,/ https://avantgardemusic.bandcamp.com/album/princesse-terre-three-studies-of-silence-and-death https://avantgardemusic.bandcamp.com/album/d-payser
