The Howling Void... now there is a Metal name for damn sure. This is going to be an unusual Metal Monday due to a few reasons. First, Darkness in the Daylight is a track from a split with Nyss (who shall be showcase next week as the second part to this). Second, I cannot find anything else relevent to this track so there is nom video or lyrics to present which leaves this a tad hollow. So, since The Howling Void is about to release a new album I will put the prerelease track below as bonus for this weeks artist. Ravens of the Burning God is a three track release with one from The Howling Void and the other two from Nyss. I was unfamiliar with both these artists until I stumbled on this dark treat. This week, we choose the more doomed of the two artists, letting this lengthy track build into something powerfully haunting. Vocally, and somewhat instumentally, I feel the same energies I have become familiar with from Swallow The Sun which makes this all the more alluring. Let The Howling Void carry you into this week a determined and dark energy, luring you deeper into the days beyond. If you enjoy this track then give Bleak and Everlasting a whirl to give you more of this chilling artist. This is indeed a dark gift...
